About Hampton Court

There was no better place to visit than Hampton Court’s Fantastic Annual Bank Holiday Fair. This superb festival of fun has been open on Hampton Court Green, opposite the beautiful and historic Palace, for over 170 years with a fascinating history, and perhaps more important to you, a wonderful present and exciting future!

Hampton Court Palace Green, is undoubtedly the grandest place that we visit with our funfair. The palace was a favourite home of King Henry VIII, who brought all six of his wives here. King William III massively rebuilt the Tudor palace in the 1690s in the hopes of rivalling the baroque style of the Palace of Versailles. You could say that like our funfairs, the palace has a long history and an eye to the future.

The palace green, where we hold the annual funfair, originally served as a tiltyard for jousting tournaments during Henry VIII’s reign. Did you know that carousels were inspired by knights jousting? What better way to honour Hampton Court Palace Green’s past than to take a ride on our magnificent carousel and imagine yourself as a knight of old?

Rides & Attractions at Hampton Court

We can guarantee that our funfair is much more family-friendly than the medieval tourneys held on the green in yesteryear. We offer a wide range of rides and attractions for both children and adults, including a magnificent carousel and family favourites such as the dodgems and the waltzer. We also offer a range of food including vegetarian options, halal options, classic funfair snacks such as hot dogs and candy floss, and the hot new favourite: fresh churros with chocolate sauce! We are sure that King Henry VIII would have loved them.
